Department of Environmental Science and Engineering

Department of Environmental Science and Engineering includes 2 specialties and a research center. They are the specialties of Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering and the Research Center for Environmental Science and Engineering.

The Specialty of Environmental Science

The Specialty of Environmental Science is aimed at training students to be practical professionals who can analyze and solve environmental problems with the theory, technique and relevant disciplines they learn on environmental science. Its graduates from this specialty are expected to know well the basic theory and approaches on how to assess the environmental effects arising from the design and implementation of a project, the basic principles and means of environmental planning and management, environmental biotechnology, and methods and relevant experiment skills used to monitor and analyze the environment.

The Specialty of Environmental Engineering

The Specialty of Environmental Engineering is aimed at training students to be practical professionals with solid basic theory and techniques on environmental engineering and relevant disciplines. Its graduates are expected to have preliminary knowledge of the basic principles and methods for typical treatment projects, be able to design techniques for pollution treatment projects, know the functions of treatment equipment and how to run the equipment. Its graduates are required to be able to make preliminary analysis of environmental pollution, solve practical problems and come up with innovative ideas in treatment engineering.
